Shipping Hiccups Continued (and explained)

shipping shipping update status status update

I posted the other day about shipping hiccups, but I think I need to spell this out in plainer English, ’cause some folks aren’t getting it. I wrote that there’d been a pretty significant monkey wrench thrown into the works with our shipping workflow, and I elaborated:   When I say it involves a “monkey wrench,” I really mean it involves dog teeth. And a Houdini pit bull. And lots of growling. And a very frightened postal service worker. And some reports that she made to her supervisor. And the fact that nobody living on this property currently has a car...

Shipping Hiccups

shipping shipping update

We’ve had a pretty significant monkey wrench thrown into the works with our shipping workflow.* Basically, things are gonna take a little longer to get to you for a little while. But we’re keeping an eye on everything and I’m having stuff that isn’t where it’s supposed to be by 20 days of the label ship date watched, so you don’t even need to write if that 20th day comes. [1] These are the best international shipping rates I’ve ever seen, and I’m really excited to have finally negotiated them for my overseas customers. Just for an example: Canada Rest of World 2 half-ounce bottles of oil $9.00 $11.00 3.5 pounds worth of stuff $24.00 $36.00 See the Shipping Rates...

But obviously it’s not a seamless, foolproof tracking system  I’m really lucky that the overwhelming majority of my customers are being really super cool about this insanity and aren’t taking...

this isn’t just the USPS being overwhelmed – this is some kind of shady shit

news shipping status usps

This item was a shrine/ornament – no prep work involved. No extended handling time or anything. I took it off its altar, blessed it, wrapped it up in tissue paper, boxed it, paid the $35-something for the shipping label because the customer paid for Priority Mail Express, and sent it out that same day for Mike to drop off at the post office. *Which he did, before C.O.B.* Here’s what the tracking says: December 13, 2020, 3:58 pmShipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting ItemGRAND BAY, AL 36541  December 23, 2020, 5:09 amArrived at Post OfficeGRAND BAY, AL 36541  December 23, 2020, 7:42 amRefusedGRAND BAY, AL 36541  December...
