Virgin Mary Immaculate Heart Jeweled Tinwork Shrine
Mixed media: reclaimed tin, resin, paper, brass, enamel paint, glitter, glass beads.
Hand-cut, hammered, and shaped ornament is made with reclaimed tin framing this mini print reproduction of an antique holy card.
After filing and sanding sharp corners and edges, I embellish these ornaments from my stash of vintage, antique, distressed, and/or reclaimed fabrics, metals, beads, trims, and sacramentals. This piece features rhinestones, glitter, and glass with an antiqued gold patina and bears the motto Tresor de Tendresse, or Treasure of Tenderness.
Tinwork body is 4". Measuring from the beaded hanger to the bottom curve of the vintage brass chain, entire piece measures 6.5".
Folks use these as altar or household art, Christmas tree ornaments, gifts, and sometimes even jewelry. I love to do custom work, so message me if you have an idea for a variation you'd like to see.
While this and all my tinplate work is filed/sanded carefully to remove sharp protrusions and corners, you should still keep in mind what it's made of and thus keep it away from children or pets.
As with all my spiritual art and jewelry, I'm happy to include your petitions/intentions associated with it in my prayers and bless the piece for you as I'm preparing it to ship to its new home. Just use the note section that will be visible during checkout to give me any customization info you'd like me to have.
