Hail Mary (French) Tinwork Shrine
Mixed media: reclaimed tin, resin, paper, twine, enamel paint, glass bead, mixed fabrics.
Hand-cut, hammered, and shaped ornament is made with reclaimed tin framing this mini print reproduction of an antique holy card.
After filing and sanding sharp corners and edges, I embellish these ornaments from my stash of vintage, antique, distressed, and/or reclaimed fabrics, metals, beads, trims, and sacramentals. This piece features rhinestones and mixed vintage and distressed fabrics, including a cotton scrap with the opening line of the prayer "Hail Mary" in French (since it's a French holy card):

Tinwork body is 2.5". Measuring from ribbon hanger to glass heart pendant at the bottom, entire piece measures 6".
Folks use these as altar or household art, Christmas tree ornaments, gifts, and sometimes even jewelry. I love to do custom work, so message me if you have an idea for a variation you'd like to see.
While this and all my tinplate work is filed/sanded carefully to remove sharp protrusions and corners, you should still keep in mind what it's made of and thus keep it away from children or pets.
