Hot Foot is among the oldest rootwork "formulas" there are, long predating the era of mail-order catalogs and perfumed oils and things with cute names -- long predating bottled oils at all, in fact. The powder is definitely the original with this one, the oil only coming later in the mail-order era. It's about as raw and old-school a formula as it gets.

It works out for us modern-day folks, though, since most of us probably don't have dirt yards and live on dirt roads anymore, so it can be pretty hard to actually get access to a real foot track from our target, never mind pick it up with a shovel or coal pan and carry it off to do something with. It's entirely possible, if you live in a city and work in an office building with your target, that you might never see them leave a footprint or be able to deploy a powder where they'll actually come in close contact with it.

So when that kind of traditional deployment just isn't realistic, it's nice to be able to use Hot Foot in oil form. It lets you do work on them anyway, maybe by setting lights dressed with Hot Foot oil or working a container spell you've added their dressed photo to.

There are probably as many Hot Foot recipes as there are rootworkers, but they all contain ingredients intended to make a target leave their place of residence or where they're staying or working, even move out of the area entirely. This is accomplished by various irritating and agitating influences that might bring more or less misery to the target as they're working, depending on the recipe, the intent of the worker, and the mode of deployment.

Since this is crossing-type work, you should make sure your cleanup is thorough, both physically (to remove any of the formula from your skin since it does contain irritants) and spiritually (a Spiritual Cleansing bath is a good idea).

Half-ounce bottle.

USAGE: Oils are for prayer and ritual use; they are not cosmetics or perfumes. While some customers do use some dressing oils as anointing oils (which is not the same thing as wearing a perfume or cologne), they are careful to do a skin test first, since they know that all-natural does not equal hypoallergenic. If you need suggestions on how to use condition and anointing oils in the conjure tradition, see the Education link up top.

LEGALESE: As required by law, all items are sold as curios to preserve and teach the traditions of folklore and popular religion. I don't sell anything I don't use myself, though, and quite a few customers over the years have sworn by my traditional formulas since I started selling them in 2002.
