Spiritual First Aid Sessions: Fast Altar Work
These sessions are meant to be quick altar work so you can get fast help in a situation without having to wait on a consultation or reading first and without having to have a contract established and invoice sent.
Folks book these when they are in a pinch or in a hurry; want "backup" on work they are doing on their own; want "maintenance" work done on a longstanding situation; or are waiting for a consultation or contract on more involved altar work but want to get the ball rolling immediately.
These sessions are performed at a distance, using some personal link to the target, which is "treated" using pendulum work; censing with incense; anointing or bathing with oils, waters, or colognes; "heating" with flames from consecrated candles; and/or similar techniques depending on the type of personal concern and intention.
That means I need some sort of personal item associated with the target to do this work. Often, a digital photo is fine, but in some cases, a personal concern such as hair would be better. We can discuss your options after you book (see step two below under How It Works). If you don't have anything at all on the target, though, not even a name, you should contact me to discuss whether this service is suitable for your situation or not.
One service is one session done on one day. If you want two services - say, both cleansing and protection - you'd need to book one of each. If you want 3 sessions of a service on 3 different days, book 3 of the same service. We can discuss timing and spacing of services after your intake email (see step two below).
These sessions average about 20-40 minutes each of preparation and hands-on time, depending on the type of concern and the type of work. Then the setup remains on the appropriate altar for the duration of the time that the accompanying lights or candles are burning, which is generally a minimum of two hours.
If you need your work to start on a certain day, please DO NOT BOOK THIS SERVICE before contacting me to make sure I can meet your needs in terms of scheduling. Any work with a promised delivery or performance date usually has to be put into writing in a formal contract. Sometimes my altars are full or I have other work going on that has a tight schedule or timing to it and I can't always begin something new immediately. In addition, you should expect that it could take me a couple of days to prep the work, if for instance I need to gather fresh vines or a certain type of dirt or powder for it, or it would use up the last of my Florida Water and I need to drive into town to get more.
How It Works
Step one: Place your order and check out. You will receive an automated confirmation right away, generated by our software. It gives info on handling time and instructions on how to communicate about your order, but this is for items and products. Don't respond to this one with the info about your service; please wait for the customized intake form that comes directly from me (Karma) and has a list of questions for you to answer (see step 2).
Step two: Within about 48 hours (two business days, not including weekends/holidays), you will receive a customized intake form with info and questions for you to answer. It will usually come sooner than this, but it's not automated - it comes directly from me to you, so in case my internet goes down one day or something, please allow two business days so I don't have to type a whole bunch of stuff on my phone. This intake email will ask for names, dates of birth, photos, and your formal petition for your altar work service. (If you're new to petition writing in the conjure tradition, there's some info at the Education link. But I'm happy to help you with the petition if you aren't sure how to put it.)
Please do NOT provide details, dates of birth, names, etc. using the contact form, or by sending a separate/additional email, or by replying to the first automated payment confirmation, or by putting it in a "note to seller" in Paypal or the "order" section in Shopify. It won't be attached to your booking and it increases the risk of miscommunication and missing info. It could also increase the time it will take to begin your work. Any information you send in any manner other than by replying to that customized service intake form will have to be sent again in response to that intake form, so please just wait for that second intake email.
Step three: Once I have received all the necessary info, I set up and perform your altar work. During this time, if it appears you could benefit from additional work, such as spiritual baths on your end, I will make that recommendation and explain it if you're not familiar with what I'm recommending. This is not just a tactic to sell you a bag of spiritual bath herbs; I'm absolutely happy to advise you on how you can create your own spiritual bath with things you have already or can easily get locally. So this kind of mini-consultation is part of the service (within reason - I won't go over the contents of all your cupboards with you to tell you how to make six different mojo bags, but I can definitely give you some options for things you can do yourself without spending more money).
Step four: After I've completed your session, I will email you a photo of it (or at least the setup - I usually need both hands to perform the work, so you won't get a shot of it in progress, most likely, but you can see your stuff all set up on the altar). I will also send you any notes about anything unusual that came up during your session, if applicable, or confirm that everything went as it should and there were no exploding lights or unusual pendulum behavior or the like. If I made any recommendations for work you could do on your end and you have a question about it, this will be your opportunity to get that clarified, as well.
Binding: Used by those seeking to restrain or stop the harmful actions of another person. A single distance session may not be sufficient to resolve difficult or longstanding problems and should generally be used as a first aid measure while you are planning other work and/or seeking a consultation to determine how to proceed. If it seems you may benefit from additional work, I'll make recommendations. Binding should *never* be your only response to dangerous or abusive situations, and spiritual measures should never take the place of mundane steps and seeking assistance from the appropriate professionals in the appropriate realms.
Blessing: Bless a new endeavor, a new baby, a new home, or a loved one that needs a little help. You can also specify that you'd like to petition the blessings or intervention of a specific saint or figure, such as St. Michael, La Mano Poderosa, Our Lady of Perpetual Help (as long as that figure is one traditionally petitioned or called on in Southern-style hoodoo - feel free to contact me before booking if you have questions about this).
Mastery: Used by those with a high-stakes situation coming up that they need to be as prepared and as confident as possible for, such as a job interview, a final exam, a meeting with the boss to discuss a raise, or a big public speaking event. You will almost always want to treat work like this as a "boost" to preparations on your end, such as spiritual baths for courage, setting lights for success, or carrying a personal John the Conqueror or Sovereign Queen mojo bag or paket. I can make some recommendations after your intake email. If your work must start by a certain date/time, do not book this session before contacting me to determine whether my schedule can meet your requirements. Booking this service does not guarantee you a specific start date or completion date.
Protection: Used by those who need physical or spiritual protection. A single distance protection session may not be sufficient for difficult situations and should generally be used as a first aid measure while you are planning other work and/or seeking a consultation to determine how to proceed. If it seems you may benefit from additional work, for instance undertaking some spiritual baths or carrying a mojo bag, I'll make recommendations. Protection work should *never* be your only response to dangerous or abusive situations, and spiritual measures should never take the place of mundane steps and seeking assistance from the appropriate professionals in the appropriate realms.
Spiritual Cleansing: Cleansing is used in the rootwork tradition for doing pretty much what it sounds like - clearing up negativity, accumulated spiritual "gunk," stagnant energy, and spiritual messes. A single distance cleansing session may not be sufficient to clear up longstanding or difficult situations and should generally be used as a first aid measure while you are planning other work and/or seeking a consultation to determine how to proceed. If it seems you may benefit from additional work, for instance undertaking some spiritual baths, I'll make recommendations.
Stop Gossip: Stop Gossip is used by those who would like to protect themselves from the effects of gossip, slander, and backbiting. This service is essentially protective in nature. The target of this work is the person being gossiped about. If you want work to target the gossiper, you'd need something like Binding, and you should be aware that it's very difficult to get those who like to gossip to just plain stop gossiping -- but it's much easier to shield their target from some of the effects, which usually means they don't get the fireworks they wanted, which often means they get bored with it and find something else to do. So straight up Binding is really not always the best move anyway. (Feel free to contact me if you have questions or aren't sure what to choose.) A single distance session may not be sufficient in longstanding or difficult situations and should generally be used as a first aid measure while you are planning other work and/or seeking a consultation to determine how to proceed. If it seems you may benefit from additional work, for instance undertaking some spiritual baths, I'll make recommendations.
Uncrossing: Used by those who want to remove crossed conditions, get rid of unnatural energetic elements in the environment, or clean up hexes and jinxes. A single distance uncrossing session may not be sufficient to clear up longstanding or difficult situations and should generally be used as a first aid measure while you are planning other work and/or seeking a consultation to determine how to proceed. If it seems you may benefit from additional work, for instance undertaking some spiritual baths, I'll make recommendations.
Start and End Dates: Limit of Guarantee
This service does NOT come with a guarantee that I will start on a certain day, only that the service will be performed as soon as I can prepare it. It would be unusual for it to take me longer than 5 days from receiving all necessary info/materials to begin, but it's possible that another client's work is taking up an entire altar for that week, for instance, or I have an unusual number of vigil lights set on the same altar for the next few days. And you should certainly expect that it could take a few days for me to set it up, gather any special materials, prepare any concerns/pakets/effigies etc., and perform the work. So do not book this service if you must have your work start on a certain day unless you have discussed it with me prior to booking and I have guaranteed you a start date in writing.
This service does not guarantee a delivery date for photos/reports. You should expect that it could take me several days beyond the work's conclusion to prepare and send photos and reports. (I usually try do to them in batches all in one day that I set aside every week.)
Frequency/Amount of Communication: Limits
I cannot do play-by-plays or on-the-fly updates during the preparation or performance of the work. The fee for this service covers the cost of my time, the dedicated space on my altars, and the cost of materials consumed in its performance; that time includes the time it takes me to provide the responses/emails outlined above, but nothing beyond that. So please do not expect any responses or emails beyond what is covered in this listing in the How It Works section.
Additional emails sent to ask "just wondering when you might start" take up my time typing when I could be spending that time at my altars doing your work. If you send those kinds of emails, you will get a form letter response reminding you of the terms of service here. You'll also get a mental note, and possibly a written one in your client record, indicating that you probably don't read instructions carefully. That makes it less likely that I would take your case in the future because it doesn't bode well for the success of our work together.
Refusal of Serve, Cancellations, and Refunds
I reserve the right to refuse service and refund purchase price at my sole discretion. If I get the impression you are a sociopath, for instance, I will almost certainly decline to work with you. If it seems that you are just going to be a general pain in my butt by not reading instructions, not following directions, or pestering me about dates/times, I may determine that you are ineligible for normal altar work rates unless/until you have had a PITA surcharge applied or expressed an understanding of what is and isn't a reasonable expectation of communication.
All sales and bookings are final, so please ask any questions before booking. Candle burning and ritual maneuvering of symbolic items are spiritual services and reading/interpreting the results is an art. You are paying for the cost of materials, the dedicated space on my altars, and for my time, so no refunds, adjustments, or cancellations are possible once I've devoted any time to your service, including reading all the information in your email. I'm more than happy to answer your questions before you book, so please ask questions first.
Client Privacy: Guarantees and Limits
Client privacy is of the utmost importance, and none of your identifying information will ever be publicly associated with any particular service or spiritual work. If a photograph of your altar work is used on a website or other property of Karma Zain or Seraphin Station, it would be edited to obscure any means of identifying you. This is part of the code of ethics to which I adhere (see Altar Work page for more info).
However, clients should be aware of the following:
* My acceptance of your booking and performance of consultation and/or altar work services does not constitute a clergy/church member relationship and does not fall under confessional privilege. In the event that I am called as a witness because you did something hare-brained or horrible, I will not try to invoke the confidentiality privilege (and it wouldn't do me any good to try).
* If you violate the Terms of Service (for instance by initiating a chargeback, which is considered theft), you invalidate my responsibilities under the TOS as well, including your guarantee of privacy. I still won't publish what your altar work was and where you live on my blog, but your name and payment information will be reported to the appropriate entities, be they legal, financial, or spiritual (i.e. your case may be turned over to collections and/or my spiritual allies and colleagues, be they corporeal or not).
Your booking of this service indicates your understanding and acceptance of our terms of service, to include the following:
That the buyer, having an informed belief in spiritual work and its traditional practices, wishes to engage the services of a rootworker to perform traditional hoodoo rootwork as part of an attempt to resolve certain life issues and herewith acknowledges that due to the nature of spiritual folk magic, Karma Zain makes no guarantees that the work will result in the desired outcome within the desired timeframe or at all. By law, these services are available only to adults 18 and over and are provided for educational or entertainment purposes only.
Karma Zain does guarantee that the work will be performed as outlined here and to the best of her ability, and that if obstacles are divined during the course of the work, she will relay them and make suggestions for appropriate remedies. The service fee covers the materials and dedicated time and altar space needed to prepare and perform the contracted services. Once preparations for the work have begun, no adjustments or refunds can be processed.
This service is of a spiritual/metaphysical nature and is based on the ancient teachings of the aforementioned traditions. In keeping with the principles of metaphysics, all information of a spiritual nature is meant to be a guide, to assist you in making a more informed decision on matters affecting your life. No spiritual consultation, divination, or spiritual work is intended to replace the advice or services of medical, financial, legal, or mental health professionals. Karma Zain is a professional reader and rootworker as well as an ordained minister and consecrated bishop, but she is not a lawyer, a doctor, a psychologist, or a financial advisor. Any advice offered falls under spiritual/metaphysical guidance and should not be interpreted as medical, financial, legal, or mental health advice.
Thus, by the principles of ethics, if she determines that success in your goals can best be attained through your pursuing "mundane" measures such as counseling, legal aid, or medical advice in addition to your spiritual work together, she will say so, and may decline to work further with you if you are unwilling to undertake these “mundane” measures. This policy is in the interest of treating clients and their cases holistically, and following the surest path for clients to meet their goals.
