This handmade St. Expedite chaplet features stunning 8mm ruby-red Czech glass cathedral beads. These faceted beauties rival lead crystal in depth and luster. It's made with three segments of three beads each and a larger terminal "pater" bead, so if you're using this as a traditional chaplet, you can use it as a single-decade rosary or in the "niner" style.

Crucifix with red enamel detailing and medal are both imported from Italy and measure one inch long, including bail. Measures 9.75" from end to end. Decade loop measures 8", so that's about the size wrist it will fit as a bracelet. If you have a larger wrist and want to wear it as a bracelet, I'm happy to add a bit more chain to the clasp - just use the customization info form to let me know the length you need.

A “niner” chaplet is a popular and very portable way of doing a novena for a saint, of keeping your prayer beads close to hand when you’re traveling or need to be more discreet than a full-size rosary might allow, or of having a set of prayer beads the perfect size for wearing as a bracelet or keeping on your car’s rearview mirror or the doorknob of your room or home.

One way of praying with a niner chaplet is to call on the saint’s aid on the medal, pray the Our Father x3, the Hail Mary x3, and the Glory Be x3 on the beads, and then the Apostle’s Creed on the crucifix.

This piece is fixed, blessed, and dressed on my St. Expedite altar, where it will reside until I send it to its new home.

St. Expedite's petitioned for luck in a hurry and is the patron saint against procrastination. Read more about him (and other saints and angels) in the education section at Big Lucky Hoodoo.

LEGALESE: As required by law, all items are sold as curios to preserve and teach the traditions of folklore and popular religion. I don't sell anything I don't use myself, though, and quite a few customers over the years have sworn by my traditional formulas since I started selling them in 2002.
